Book Love: Do you share your books with others? Who was the last person you sent a book to?
I do share my books with others but I shiver when I DO. My books are my babies and lending a book to someone is like…letting my child be kidnapped. I don’t know if it is going to be treated well, fed, watered…loved. I hate it. But I do it because I love my friends.
The last person I sent a book to was a fellow blogger last month as I was taking part in the Random Acts of Kindness hosted by booksoulmates. Unfortunately I am skint and can hardly afford books for myself so it will be a while until I can gift a book to someone else.

Q. What are you doing to prepare for an upcoming zombie apocalypse and/or the return of Mel Gibson to the silver screen? (Both of which could be terrifying.)

There’s an upcoming zombie apocalypse! Why wasn’t I told *grabs brown paper bag and tries to stop hyperventilating).
It stands to reason that there is no point in me trying to prepare as, if life were a film, I would be the extra in the red Enterprise uniform getting bludgeoned by the Klingons and in the event of a zombie apocalypse I’m the one getting eaten while the heroes drive of in a truck reaching desperately out to try and grab my hand and MISSING! So is my life.

Hopping through. I occasionally share books with my husband but I get nervous when he is too rough with them.
ReplyDeleteNew follower! Love the drawing on your background.
My Anniversary Hop
Oh, the only persona I really share books with is my friend Sophia, she's not in the blogging world, but I'm always sending her books as presents.
ReplyDeleteMy own books? I don't like sharing, because the moment I loan out a book, I get the urge to read it :P
Re Zombie Apocalypse? I'll stock up Salt and watch lots of Buffy/Angel/Supernatural, to study up on the subject
Hi there, new follower here! Love your blog! :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about lending books out. I've had the misfortune of doing so only to get them back with spines bent, pages fold, etc...AWFUL.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Hah, my books are my babies too! I should be a little more careful who I lend my books out to. Last time I lent my cousin a book, her dogs chewed it up. Thank goodness she bought me a new one! I am also fresh out of money but I'd like to participate in RAK sometime this year!

LOL - I would probably just give up and surrender to the zombies. Get the bloodshed over with, you know?
ReplyDeleteGlad to have found you via the Hop!
I ALWAYS share my books with others. In fact, I just started giving away a book every month!
